Kosovo with about 1.800.000 citizens is independent since 2008 and therefore the youngest state in Europe located in the central part of
the Balkans. Its geographical position enables the country to serve as a connecting bridge with all other countries of Eastern Europe. As
such, Kosovo creates favorable conditions for foreign investment (as low tax rates, fortunate staff costs, well educated people). In view of
Russia's expansion plans, it is therefore particularly important to strengthen the economic and thus political situation of the Balkans and
thus of Kosovo.
The German-Kosovar Business Forum 2015, with over 150 visitors including exhibitors, aroused the interest of all participants in many
different ways and was thus able to set a milestone in the history of relations between the two states. The following pages provide an
overview of this Forum in the year 2015 in Berlin.
Due to the success of this event and with the aim of bringing German and Kosovar companies closer together and, if necessary, making
them partners and also highlighting possible investments in Kosovo to German companies, there will be the next "German-Kosovar
Business Forum" on Friday, 14 October 2022 in the capital of Kosovo, Prishtine. This event will be followed the next day by the "German-
Kosovar Care Forum" (http://www.deutsch-kosovarisches-pflegeforum.de/), which has already been tried and tested since 2019. This form
of exchange of ideas with an accompanying exhibition will finally be able to continue. You will find details of the forums here from May 2022.
